We accept most major insurance plans.
Please call our office in advance to make an appointment. A 24 hour notice is required if you are unable to keep your appointment; calling us as far in advance as possible allows for us to fill that slot and see another patient in need of care. Every effort is made to adhere to our appointment schedules; we appreciate your patience in the event we run late due to emergencies and/or surgery.
Fees & Payments
Sports Medicine Wellesley makes every effort to decrease the cost of out of pocket medical care for its’ patients. Therefore we request all payments for all office services at the time services are rendered unless prior arrangements have been made. The office accepts cash, check, Master Card, Visa, Discover, and American Express for your convenience. If we are providers of your insurance carrier we will bill them for your visit, however, all co-payments and/or deductibles are the responsibility of the patient and are due at the time of service. If your insurance requires a referral from your Primary Care Physician to see a specialist, it is the responsibility of the patient to obtain such referral before his/her appointment. Ultimately, payment for all services is the responsibility of the patient, we will be happy to help in any way possible if you need assistance handling a claim.
Prescriptions & Renewals
The office staff is available during normal business hours, when our files are available for review, to assist you with prescription requests and/or refill authorizations. Refill requests will be taken Monday through Thursday only, we will not accept refill requests on Friday as Dr. Mitchell is usually in surgery and unavailable on Fridays. It is always best to allow 24 hours for the staff to obtain authorization from your doctor when requesting a prescription or refill. Requests made during non-business hours will only be filled under extreme or emergent circumstances.
